Construction company owner pleads guilty to theft
New details in the case of a mother and daughter accused of defrauding valley families of thousands of dollars.
On Tuesday, Adelina Briseno pleaded guilty to one count of theft.
Briseno and her mother, Alejandra Melendez, owned a construction company.
The attorney general's office says the two placed ads promising to build homes for people. But once they obtained deposits, the construction did not take place.
Briseno's sentencing is set for next week.
