Freeze watch in effect Wednesday morning for portion of RGV

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a freeze watch for a portion of the Rio Grande Valley.

The freeze watch is in effect Wednesday morning from midnight until 9 a.m. and covers Hidalgo, Starr and Willacy County.

Bone chilling temperatures can be expected between 29 to 32 degrees.

Remember the 3 P's: Pets, plants and pipes as well as people. Be sure to dress in layers with wind resistant outer layer. Be sure to wear a hat as well as insulated gloves.
