Brownsville Runoff Election 2015


    Tony Martinez defeated his opponent Pat Ahumada in the Brownsville mayoral race.

    With all precincts reporting, Martinez remained with an overwhelming lead over Ahumada.

    Martinez had an early commanding lead pushing him to be reelected as mayor for the City of Brownsville.

    The vote total resulted in 4,280 votes for Martinez and 2,557 for Ahumada, according to the City of Brownsville TMs website.

    There is also a runoff in the District 1 race with more than 100 votes separating the two candidates.

    Ricardo Longoria, Jr., the incumbent, won reelection with 717 votes over Roman Perez TMs 509 votes.

    The results are not final until the votes are canvassed.
