U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement wants to deport a Mexican man for the sixth time.

Officers detained Miguel Calva-Rosales, 37, of McAllen at the Hidalgo County jail on Wednesday after a judge dismissed an assault charge against him.

"Record checks revealed the defendant was formally removed from the United States to Mexico for the fifth (5th) time on October 27, 2014 via the Laredo, Texas Port of Entry," according to the federal criminal complaint against him.

According to the criminal complaint, Calva had been convicted of illegal re-entry on:

  1. Aug. 28, 2004
  2. May 1, 2007
  3. May 14, 2012
  4. April 10, 2014
  5. July 30, 2014

He's now charged with illegal re-entry — again.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Peter E. Ormsby ordered Calva held without bond.

An attorney for Calva didn't respond to a request for comment.
