Man, 35, charged in connection with string of aggravated robberies in Pharr
Police arrested a 35-year-old man after a string of aggravated robberies were reported in Pharr.
Rene "Froggy" Heraclio Morlaes is accused of robbing four people at gunpoint on Sunday, according to the criminal complaints against him.
One of the victims reported Morales "pointed a firearm at him" and took his phone and keys. At about 6:38 a.m., while police were taking an aggravated report from another alleged victim, police learned Morales had already been detained. Three people positively identified Morales as the suspect who robbed them at gunpoint.
On Monday, Morales was charged with four counts of aggravated robbery. Bond was set at $800,000.
Records don't show an attorney for Morales, who remains in the Hidalgo County jail.
