A man wanted by police has now been formally charged.

Luis Hull, 52, faced a judge on Monday morning where he was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a minor, evading arrest, possession of marijuana in a drug free zone and manufacturing and delivery of crack cocaine.

Hull attempted to make a run from police last week when they served him with a warrant at his home.

"There was a warrant served under aggravated sexual assault,” said Detective Eddie Garcia with the Brownsville Police Department. “During that incident, the defendant claimed he was injured and he was transported to a local hospital where he has since received medical treatment. Once that was cleared out quickly, he has now been arraigned."

Hull's bond is set at $1.01 million.
