A McAllen mom is out on bond after she was allegedly smoking synthetic weed with her husband right next to their 3-month-old baby.

McAllen police responded to a call from an apartment complex on the 7100 block of North 8th Street Monday night.

The caller, who is the infant TMs father, told police that he was vomiting blood after he smoked with his wife Angelynn Shayla Martinez.

Documents stated that the home had a strong odor of dog and feces, rotten food in the bedroom and holes in the doors and walls that seemed to have been from punches.

Police spoke with the 18-year-old mother who allegedly admitted she smoked synthetic marijuana with her husband and drank the night before.

Martinez reportedly slurred her words and swayed from side to side while speaking with officers.

Police said she was also incoherent and was acting real slow.

According to documents, the couple smoked the synthetic marijuana close to their 3-month-old baby who appeared to be looking at the ceiling spaced out while lying in a crib.

The baby was reportedly only in a diaper and surrounded by thick blankets.

Documents stated that Martinez said she did not take any type of drugs while pregnant with the baby boy.

Through an investigation, Child Protective Services said the baby TMs grandfather had custody of the boy because Martinez tested positive for cocaine when she gave birth.

CPS said the couple has an open case that is under investigation.

The grandfather was called to the home to care for the baby.

EMS rushed the baby TMs father to Doctors Hospital Regional, while the 3-month-oldwas taken to the Edinburg Children TMs Hospital.

McAllen police arrested Martinez on an abandoning/endangering a child charge, a 3rd degree felony, since she was smoking next to the baby.

Martinez bonded out of the Hidalgo County Jail Tuesday on a $5,000.
