Video obtained by CBS 4 News shows a scuffle between opposing parties outside the election annex building in Edinburg Wednesday evening.

The brief altercation occurred just before 6 p.m. as polls were open for early voting, according to Edinburg police spokesman Orlando Garcia.

Edinburg police say opposing parties for Homer Jasso Sr. and Armando Guerra got into a shouting match.

Witnesses told officers on the scene that even an assault occurred.

Although various allegations were made, police made no arrest.

Jasso Sr. and Guerra are both running for Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Place 2.
