Pharr man dies after being ejected in single-vehicle crash
A 31-year-old man from Pharr died after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
At about 3:10 a.m., troopers say Michael Paul-Damian Elizalde, 31, of Pharr was traveling westbound on Minnesota Road at an unsafe speed when he lost control of his gray Dodge Challenger, veered off the roadway, rolled over and struck a fence. Elizalde, who was reportedly not secured by a safety belt, was ejected from the Challenger, according to the news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers continue to investigate the deadly crash.
