Police: Death of 41-year-old woman ruled a homicide
Update: Police have ruled the death of a woman in San Juan a homicide.
She has been identified as 41-year-old Melinda Ann Garza.
Police say the primary suspect remains in custody.
No other details are being released.
Police say the Garza family has requested privacy at this time.
Original Story: A man is in custody after police found a woman dead inside a San Juan home Thursday night.
Police say a family member called police at about 8 p.m. regarding a welfare concern.
Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Shufford St., where they found the dead woman.
Upon arrival, police also found a man and took him into custody.
Neither of them have been identified.
Police continue to work the crime scene and have ordered an autopsy report.
The cause of death remains unknown.
