A 23-year-old man pleaded guilty to manslaughter Monday, more than a year after he struck and killed a 73-year-old man with his vehicle in Pharr.

Dominique Adolph Bustos Quintanilla, 23, of Pharr pleaded guilty to killing 73-year-old Fernando Macias.

A judge sentenced Quintanilla to 10 years in prison, according to Hidalgo County jail records.

As CBS 4 News previously reported on May 29, 2016:

Investigators charged a 22-year-old Pharr man with intoxication manslaughter Saturday following a fatal car crash.
At about 4:27 a.m. Saturday, police responded to an auto-pedestrian crash near the intersection of Estrella Street and West Dicker Road, according to a news release from the Pharr Police Department.
Investigators believe a black Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on Dicker Road veered across the street, mounted the curb and struck 73-year-old Fernando Macias, according to the news release.
Paramedics transported Macias to McAllen Medical Center, where Justice of the Peace Jaime "Jerry" Muñoz declared him dead.
Investigators later charged Dominique Adolph Bustos Quintanilla, 22, of Pharr with intoxication manslaughter, a second-degree felony, according to Hidalgo County jail records.
