Starr County Sheriff's Office identify body found last week in Fronton

    UPDATE: The Starr County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of a body found in a community west of Roma last week.

    The body has been identified as 45-year-old Bernardo Rivera Medina from San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

    Authorities said that a preliminary autopsy report stated that there was no signs of foul play and he died from natural causes.

    Murder has been ruled out in the case but an investigation continues in an attempt to locate the individuals responsible for dropping off Medina's body.

    The Starr County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a body found in Fronton, a community west of Roma, last night after 10 p.m.

    According to the Starr County Sheriff’s Office, an unidentified male was deceased with what appeared to be road rash. Deputies add that a Mexican voter identification card was found on the male subject and a white pickup was noticed leaving the scene.
