Texas based volunteer organization trains community on life saving skill.
Students of the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley's School of Medicine showed their life-saving skills to the public on Saturday. As part of the Lone Star Survival training initiative, students demonstrated to the community various ways to control bleeding and save a life.
Lone Star Survival, a Texas based volunteer organization, is attempting to accomplish their goal of educating the public on basic bleeding control. The training is conducted in a public location that allows anyone walking by to participate and learn.
The initiative is funded and sponsored by the Texas College of Emergency Physicians.
