Two individuals went before a judge this evening after being arrested earlier in the day at a protest in McAllen.

McAllen Police Officers arrested two individuals during a protest on 10th street today during President Trump’s visit to the Valley.

Earlier this evening, the two men, identified as Jesus Perez and Leo Gambino, stood before a judge as they were charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

According to Mariam El-Haj, when things got out of hand, she notified police.

"In a crowd where people have very different opinions and there is a lot of emotions and can potentially lead to something violent," stated El-Haj.

Perez’s and Gambino’s bond has been set at $1,000 each.
