Wanted Starr County fugitive turns himself in
A 26-year-old Starr County man on Texas' 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list turned himself in to authorities on Monday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Andrew "Flako" Jerome Belmontes, 26, who's affiliated with the Texas Chicano Brotherhood gang, turned himself in at the Starr County Sheriff's Office in Rio Grande City.
Belmontes had been wanted since September 2017 for parole violation.
Texas authorities say Belmontes was convicted in Starr County on two counts of aggravated assault and was released on parole from state prison in June 2017.
The state had recently offered a $7,500 cash reward for Belmontes' capture.
Further information about Belmontes can be found on the Texas Department of Public Safety's website.
