Cat rescued after being stuck in tree up for adoption
KALKASKA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A cat that spent days stuck high in a tree is now up for adoption!
According to AC Paw, the cat, nicknamed Jungle Jim, was rescued from a tree at a local RV park and has been staying at a foster home in hopes of finding his owner. No family has come forward so Jungle Jim is now ready for adoption.
His foster mom says he is a very laid back, sweet and gentle cat who loves to play with his toys. "He is definitely a lover and will make someone an awesome pet!"
Jungle Jim was stuck in the tree more than 50 ft up for about six days in the beginning of August at an RV Campground in Kalkaska.
The owners of the RV campground and their campers had been doing everything they can to try to get the cat down safely.
Jungle Jim survived through multiple rain storms, thunder and lightning.
Just after 8 p.m. on Aug. 7, a tree service company was able to use a bucket truck and get the cat to safety.
AC Paw says Jungle Jim is a short hair brown tabby and is about 1 1/2 years old. If you're interested in adopting Jungle Jim, go to ACPaw.org and fill out a pre-adoption form.
