DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME| Clock shop owner springs forward more than 400 times

Twice a year there is extra work to be done at one shop in Savage Mills, Maryland.

At ‘Hands of Time,’ a clock shop, workers need to set the time on more than 400 clocks, for Daylight Saving. The ritual of ‘springing’ time forward by one hour is already underway.

The shop's owner, Bob Capone said it’s a big task, “We have to set every clock, so we set every clock ahead-- which is easier to do during daylight saving then it is in the fall."

"Advancing the hour hand is so much easier then going back 11 hours."

Capone's suggestion to clock owners, “You should always change it by turning a knob in the back, as opposed to turning the hands on the clocks."
