Dorados' Travis Cole out for rest of season

Getting to the playoffs just got harder for the Rio Grande Valley Dorados.

The Golden Ones have two more games and need two more wins for a chance at the playoffs.

The team's quarterback Travis Cole was looking to lead the team to those victories.

But Cole will be out three to four weeks because of fluid in his knee.

The Dorados quarterback had surgery on his knee Friday.

The operation follows complaints of knee swelling that began after Monday night's game against Corpus Christi.

The Dorados are now leaning on their second quarter Tiger Lyon who will get the start once again.

Lyon started four weeks ago but was replaced after one half of play because of poor performance.
